The detection of the use of MBM as a protein was first used by the UK and banned in 1988. |
BSE was transmitted through humans by the consumption of infected beef products that were out and sold to the public before the discovery of the disease. The disease that humans obtain is similar but they named it differently, it is called, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or vCJD.
